NOTICE OF SPRING ELECTION
Village of Spring Valley
Tuesday April 6, 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at an election to be held in the Village of Spring Valley on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed whose term will expire on April 19, 2021. The term of the village trustee begins on April 20, 2021. All terms are for two years unless otherwise indicated.

Village Trustee Mary Ducklow (Notice of Non-Candidacy filed)
Village Trustee Andy Vorlicek
Village Trustee Nick Falde (Notice of Non-Candidacy filed)
Three residents have turned in nomination papers and will be on the ballot for Village Trustee in April: David Lien, Ruth Lukes, Liz Erickson. A sample ballot will be posted as soon as they become available.
Please go to myvote.wi.gov to register, find your polling place, request an absentee ballot, and various other options.
March 17th – Deadline for electors to register to vote by mail or online in the Spring Election. After this date, electors must register in person in the municipal clerk’s office or at the polling place.
March 18th – First day for clerks to issue certificate of registrairons (EL-133) to late registrants who register to vote inperson.
March 23rd through April 1st – In person early voting by appointment only! No drop ins!
Friday April 2nd – Deadline for the following: 1. write-in candidates to file a registration statement with the filing officer. 2. indefinitely confined electors and military electors to request absentee ballots by mail either online or email. 3. electors to register to vote in the municipal clerk’s office. Please call 715-778-4423 by 5:00 p.m. if you need to do any of these 3 things.

DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER OR REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT!! Open registration ends on March 17, 2021 for the Spring Election. The easiest way to register is by going to myvote.wi.gov (see link below) You can also submit forms via US mail, email (email@example.com) or drop off completed forms outside the village main door. After those dates you must register in person, in the clerk’s office and be issued a Certificate of Registration or register on election day which will take approximately 1/2 hour to process before you even get in the election room to vote. If you wait and need to come into the clerk’s office, remember we are closed to foot traffic due to COVID. You will need to make an appointment and wear a mask at all times while in the village building.
No one registers or votes in clerk’s office on Monday April 5, 2021
